I visited Tev’s and Family Restaurant the day after Thanksgiving around 4 PM, and to my surprise, there wasn’t a line down the street. I knew right away I had lucked out! There were about 10 people ahead of me, and the young lady who helped me was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. Since it was my first time trying oxtail, I mentioned I’d heard great things about the restaurant. She suggested a half-and-half plate, and when I mentioned I wasn’t in the mood for cabbage, she recommended an extra serving of mac & cheese instead. She explained it would be a bit more expensive, but I agreed—and I’m so glad I did! After a short 15-minute wait, I received my order. The container was generously packed—it must have weighed at least 5 pounds. Once I got home, I was impressed by how incredible everything looked—and it tasted even better! The oxtail was perfectly cooked, and the mac & cheese was rich and flavorful. Between the outstanding food and excellent customer service, I was beyond impressed. Tev’s cooking is top-tier, plenty of seating inside and outside as well and I’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere.

My first experience here. I did an online order and picked up my food. Glad I did because the line was long. The whole process was professionally done and executed well. Staff were friendly, attentive and prompt. The food was truly the star of the show. The food was hot and still hot after the 20 min drive home. My plate looked exactly like the pictures and everything was delicious. I had the sweet chili wings plate. The Mac and cheese was creamy all the way through and no shortcuts on amount of cheese and quality. I'll be back... a lot

Geee-Zus! I don’t even know where to begin. I heard about this place online while in my lovely state of Texas. I’m glad I did. I am so glad they were open on Mother’s Day too, because this was the only day I could stop in before heading back to my state. I ordered double and was therefore able to enjoy leftovers the following day. I appreciated the iced water and red rose the staff blessed us with while we waited in line for the doors to open. Very nice touch. It was just an all around pleasant experience. I even met a friend(see pic) while in line. God is good! I definitely plan to return asap. I pray that God Almighty continues to bless this establishment and its people!

Food is great. The line wait wasn't terrible and staff is friendly and welcoming, even security. Had the catfish (Cajun garlic butter) and ribeye (jerk sauce) steak strips that both came with rice, mac n cheese and cabbage. All of it was good, was a good serving amount (definitely 2 meals) on 1 plate..unless you're a big back, lol

The Jamaican oxtails were well seasoned and tender. It was well worth the wait.

The food was delicious, the security and staff was professional. The demand for the food has the very busy, so call your order in ahead of time. Or gamble on the supply running out. 9 out 10 is my ratings! Zalute

This place is really good and not stingy at all with the portion size, but u have to be very strategic with ordering because food tends to sell out even after waiting in line an hour. worth the wait for me as the people in line standing w/u will agree as well. they do have an online option does work, but it still has kinks to work out. If u order online trust me Get A Confirmation! number first b4 u go.

Had to come through and see what all the fuss is about. I ordered curry chicken and oxtails. The best cabbage i’ve ever tasted, hands down. Rice and Peas also excellent. Too many potatoes in the curry chicken. oxtails cooked perfectly, not too tender BUT could’ve been spicier. Saw some white folks in there so I understand why the spice has been turned down. Logistically, arrive when it opens. Bring a book and be prepared to wait in line 30 min. It will take 15 min for your food to be prepared and ready. Worth the wait. Oh and it’s not cheap. Don’t forget to tip!
